The Long island Pirate Festival, held on the grounds of the LI Maritime Museum is the New York City areas only pirate festival. A chance for all you pirates and thieves in NYC to come out and show yer true colors ! Long Island was once a hot bed of piracy ( Capt Kidd had a house on Water Street, where the current Wall St is, and his treasure is burried somewhere on Long Island) and the LIPF brings it back home. Pirate crews, cannon, vendors, re-enactments and of course THE BRIGANDS themselves promise to make a fun filled weekend for the whole family and the pirate in all of us!
